VillanuevaS is a self-taught artist who has always had a passion for doodling and believes that his artistic talent may be inherited. His family background includes a painter uncle in Spain, and although he was born in Colombia, he feels a strong connection to his European roots, particularly from Spain and Lithuania. Having lived in various countries worldwide, his artwork is influenced by a rich combination of European and Latin American cultures, with architecture playing a significant role in shaping his artistic vision. While he initially began studying painting and drawing at the Escuela de Artes Imaginarias in Madrid in 1977, life circumstances led him to set aside his artistic pursuits for some time.
